RTM and TV schedule

Ever since Ramadhan this year, I have been waking up early in the morning. I usually woke up at 6am before Ramadhan. Nowadays, 4am, 5am etc.

What I do in the morning is read some books, surfing etc. One of it watching TV. Tv2 to be specific coz that is the only TV available everyday, 'very early' in the morning.

But the point is, I am amazed that there is a lot of good shows aired early in the morning like autoshow, how to fix car etc. Why don't they air this in the evening etc? RTM is weird.

RTM in my opinion, has schedule disorder. Many good shows aired at not so good times.

For example, National Geographic. I really love to watch Nat Geo in Tv1 rather than in astro coz rtm no ads at all! Lolz!

But the problem is, Nat Geo is aired at 7pm, the time when muslims want to perform magrib prayer.

RTM does has good shows like Agrotek, nat geo, panorama etc but sadly, they keep changing as they like, that's why rtm sucks. And as you know, RTM have many poor quality shows at 'good hours', takingRTM reputation further down.

16 Sept = holiday

Yes! Good! Coz most new generations don't understand what 'Hari Malaysia' is all about. They only know the Anwar's 16 Sept.

Ulamak Kelantan and Money

I came across an interesting calendar inside the surau at an airport in Malaysia. The calendar has these snippets regarding ulamak2 kelantan. One ulamak biography for each month. Most of the ulamak featured were from the 1900 era.

What interesting for me was their wages (they work as mufti etc). Most fall between $15 - $20. The number really makes me think, after 100 years, is our savings is worth it?

In just 100 years, $15 value dropped significantly. You can't live with $15 per month at these days. Even nasi lemak cost you around RM3.50.

Back to the main issue. Is our savings worth it?

Supposed that the wage of a guru agama at these days is around RM3000 (I don't really know).

So $15 (year 1900) = $3000 (year 2000)

3000 / 15 = 200

If you save RM1,000,000 in your bank account, in year 2100, sorry to say, due to inflation, your RM1 million will be like RM5,000 today. Today $1M can buy Aston Martin but in year 2100, u can buy a motorbike equivalent to Honda Cup.

So should we spend on real thing now?

I am not sure but one thing for sure, gold is the safest thing you should buy.

Many people say gold price will never go down.

But Im not interested on the RMs of the gold. The main issues is what gold can buy.

What's inside my mind is (I don't know the accurate price, just my thought) :
In year 1900. 3 grams 999 gold can buy 1 jeans.
In year 2000. 3 grams 999 gold can buy 1 jeans too.
It's the money that is changing.

So don't get excited when gold price goes up. What matters most is what you can buy with it. Gold price increase, good prices increase too. Nothing change.

We should understand money is just paper and can be manipulated (you can get rich and poor easily). It is convenient but not 100% safe.

Whatever it is we all should remember
1. We will die
2. We will meet God
3. What we have done on earth will be evaluated

So instead of buying Aston Martin etc better 'give it back' to Allah coz that investment is the only investment that will help us in the afterlife. And the best thing is, if you do it with open heart, you won't lose anything and the value won't decrease.

We were born naked, no clothes, no cars, no any wealth etc but Allah give it to us as times goes by. This world belongs to him. This world is not ours. I can't see the reasons to be stingy to Allah.
